Maremma, the wild heart of Tuscany
Our farm is situated in the Tuscan Maremma, only a few km from the Natural Reserve and the Tyrrenhian Sea. This part of Tuscany is the wildest and most untouched, offering many natural attractions like the Parco della Maremma, also called Parco dell’Uccellina as well as several oases of the WWF.
The Maremma is situated in the south of Tuscany, covering the area of Grosseto, and represents a way of living based on the respect for environment, culture and tradition.
The landscape is wild and alive, strong as its wild boars but at the same time elegant and free like its horses.
The Maremma is a part of Tuscany where environment and nature are particularly protected.
This respect for the environment becomes obvious looking at the various Natural Reserves and protected areas. The “Parco Naturale Regionale della Maremma” was one of the first protected areas in Italy. The “Parco Nazionale dell’Arcipelago Toscano” is particularly interesting for guests who love the sea and includes the islands of Giglio and Giannutri, both real jewels of the Tyrrenhian Sea.
Tuscany Farm Holiday
The Maremma is the untouched wild heart of Tuscany made of heaven and earth, wide spaces and tranquility – the ideal place for being out in the open, in harmony with a landscape that still respects the human rhythm.
The Maremma is also the heart of the thermal springs in Tuscany, the soil is rich in sulphurous water. Often, the water bubbles from the earth forming small natural pools in the rocks.
